Charities

East Anglian Air Ambulance
East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA) is a 365-day-a-year helicopter emergency medical service (HEMS) covering Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Suffolk. We do not receive any government funding and the £7.6 million we need to raise this year comes directly from charitable donations. Our medical crews have enhanced clinical skills and provide a lifesaving service to your local community, so every donation counts and every supporter is deeply valued by EAAA.
ACT (Addenbrooke's Charitable Trust)
ACT believes that every patient deserves the best possible care available. We provide funding for the extras that are needed to make a difference for patients at Cambridge University Hospitals (including Addenbrooke's Hospital and the Rosie Hospital).
Victim Support
Victim Support is the independent victim’s charity, we work locally to support victims of crime, and campaign nationally to put victims’ needs first. Our specialist teams provide individual, independent, emotional and practical help to enable people recover from the effects of crime. Though we are a national charity, all our services are managed and delivered on a community-led basis by local people. Most of the face-to-face support we offer is delivered by our 3000 professionally-trained volunteers, who help victims, witnesses and their families and friends to overcome the devastating effects of crime. We campaign for greater awareness of the effects of crime, and we champion the rights of victims and witnesses within the criminal justice system. Every day there are, regrettably, thousands of new victims and witnesses of crime nationwide. We are there to offer help to each one of them. In 2014/15 Victim Support: - contacted over a million victims of crime - assisted 193,048 people as they gave evidence in criminal courts - supported 1,393 people bereaved by homicide - developed programmes to help thousands of young people cope with the effects of living with domestic violence, keep safe online and give evidence in court Our national telephone helpline, Supportline, provides emotional and practical support to over 40,000 people a year. In essence, our free and confidential services are designed to help victims of crime to make sense of what they have been through, access all the practical help which is available to them, and to help them get their lives back on track.

Facing your limits is a group of like minded people who are taking on three challenges, pushing their mental and physical capacity in order to raise as much money as they can for three charities:

  • East Anglian air ambulance
  • Addenbrookes Charitable Trust
  • Victim Support

These three charitable organisations have been fundamental to the survival and support of Brett Anthony and Mo Lea, who's personal stories have inspired us to take on the following challenges:

  • Sponsored walk from Body Flight Bedford to Addenbrookes hospital
  • Kayak paddle on the Great River Ouse from Bedford to the Wash
  • Bicycle ride from Lands End to John O'Groats
