FoodCycle
FoodCycle combines volunteers, surplus food and spare kitchen spaces to create nutritious meals for people at risk from food poverty and social isolation. We run over 23 projects across the UK where our amazing volunteers collect and cook surplus ingredients into tasty three-course meals; bringing the community together in a warm and welcoming environment.

FoodCycle Cambridge's Breadline Challenge

We're the Cambridge hub and our friendly group of volunteers have been serving up free community meals to people across the city at risk of food poverty for almost 6 years!.  We have a lunch every Saturday at Wesley Methodist Church, and a family dinner at Barnwell Baptist Church on the first and third Wednesday of every month.  With a recent report suggesting that over 4,000 children in Cambridge are living in poverty (33% of children in Kings Hedges and 31% of children in East Chesterton), we're afraid that services like ours are more needed than ever - so do support us, either by donating your spare cash or your time!
