2012 Brighton Marathon

15 April 2012

Just two Brighton Marathons behind us and the Olympic year to come these are exciting times for running in the oh so energised city of Brighton and Hove and in the UK generally; next year will be quite some year! We anticipate the 2012 edition of the Brighton Marathon on Sunday 15th April, being bigger than either of the two previous editions and entries have been pouring in since the Monday morning immediately after our recent race on April 10th. If you’re thinking about entering, don’t think for too long!

After last year, I said to myself - in 2012 I will give myself a break from running…With a wedding to plan alongside work this would have been the sensible option! However, those who know me will be aware that ‘sensible’ has never really been my strong point!

Thats why, during a conversation with some of the fundraising team at Sense when I was told that they were still looking for runners for the Brighton Marathon – I couldn’t help myself – I jumped at the opportunity!

The commitment to the race is now in full swing, with regular training runs and some serious dietary changes and sacrifices…but for this amazing charity – it will all be worth it. Sense are a remarkable charity, who truly help to transform the lives of those they support!

Any sponsorship that you may be in a position to donate in aid of this charity is greatly appreciated. This year I have a goal to reach £500, and if I get there before the event I promise I will run the way in fancy dress!
