SOS Children is the world’s largest orphan and abandoned children’s charity. Our vision is “a loving home for every child”. Supporters worldwide enable us to provide a new family and home for more than 78,000 children in 500 unique Children’s Villages in 124 countries. Once children are taken into an SOS Children’s Village we give them the love and security of an SOS mother who cares for them as they grow up. We provide our children with education, health care and support as they grow into independent adulthood. Vocational training schemes give further opportunity to the young people in our care. Our Family Strengthening Programmes extend our work into the wider community and as a result we reach many hundreds of thousands more children.
