Get Connected Helpline
Get Connected is a free telephone, email and webchat helpline service finding children and young people the best help whatever the problem. Available anywhere in the UK, 1pm - 11pm every day, we can provide free connections to local or national services, and text information to caller's mobile phones. Get Connected's vision is that every young person in the UK can find the help they need to support their emotional and physical wellbeing. There are 11 million young people in the UK. In Get Connected's survey of 2006, 4 out of 5 of young people didn't know where to turn with their problems. Get Connected is the free helpline for these young people, who know they need help but don't know where to find it. With Helpline Workers trained to support each young person in their unique situation and help them choose the best service from over 13,000 in the UK, Get Connected is the vital gateway between a distressing confusing problem the young person can't solve on their own and the service that can help them solve it. Crucially, the connection we make for each young person to their chosen source of help is free as well.

Get Comedy is back!

The marvellous Mark Watson, incredible Iain Stirling, memorable Marcel Lucont, excellent Ed Petrie and superb Sean McLoughlin will all be on show on Wednesday 2nd February at the Get Connected Comedy Night! Plus, as a special treat, Matt Lacey of The Unexpected Items will be there too to perform his 'Gap Yah' sketch- the Top YouTube Comedy Clip of 2010!

The event will be at the Boatshow Comedy Club (yes an actual boat!)- click here for a map to where the boat is moored. The nearest station is Embankment, and doors will open at 6.30pm, with the show beginning at 8pm.

Tickets cost just £16 (£15 and £1 online booking fee), and you will be added to the guestlist once you've made your payment. Please provide your full name for this purpose. Alternatively, you can contact the office on 020 7009 2500 or fundraising@getconnected.org.uk for more info and tickets (no booking fee applies.)

NB: Please do not check the Gift Aid box, as we are unable to claim Gift Aid for ticket purchases.

If that sounds like it will float your boat (don’t worry, the jokes will be better than that!), then come and join the Get Connected team for a night of mirth and merriment! We hope to see you there!
