Hi, thanks for visiting my page.

Back in 2002 just a few weeks after my 40th birthday I suffered a stroke due to an undiagnosed PFO (hole in the heart). I was unable to work for just over two years in total.

I was one of the lucky ones and got away quite lightly in terms of symptoms. However a lot of people are not so lucky. When this happens, any support you can get is really appreciated. That is why I am supporting Different Strokes, a small charity that helps to support young stroke survivors and their families. If you would like to take a look at what they do please visit www.differentstrokes.co.uk

At the end of June I will taking on my biggest personal challenge to date, when I will be taking part in the Schwalbe Tour Trans Alp www.tourtransalp.de which is a 7 day cycling challenge over the Alps covering 880km, and just over 19,000 metres of climbing and 21 mountain passes.

Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to the charity. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.
