BRMB Walkathon in support of the QEHB Charity

The BRMB Walkathon is a fundraising event in aid of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham Charity (QEHB Charity), also known as UHB Charities. The QEHB Charity is the official charity for the Queen Elizabeth and Selly Oak Hospitals in Birmingham. The BRMB Walkathon is raising money to help the hospital charity provide a space for military patients and their families where they can spend time in a relaxed environment with fellow military patients and friends. This space will form an important part of the recovery and rehabilitation process and the space created through charitable fundraising will enable military patients to have a haven away from the ward. The money raised from the BRMB Walkathon will help create a space for military patients and their families near the site of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham. The hospital charity is embarking on a fundraising drive to raise an estimated £1 million which will enable designs to become a reality during 2012/13. In the event that the money raised exceeds the estimated costs for creating a new space for military patients, the charity will allocate any additional funds for the benefit of military patients and for ongoing support for the newly created facility, and for areas of the hospital where military patients receive treatment
