Charity

Parkinson's UK
Every hour, someone in the UK is told they have Parkinson's. Because we're here, no one has to face Parkinson's alone. We bring people with Parkinson's, their carers and families together via our network of local groups, our website and free confidential helpline. Specialist nurses, our supporters and staff provide information on every aspect of Parkinson's. As the UK's Parkinson's support and research charity we're leading the work to find a cure, and we're closer than ever. We also campaign to change attitudes and demand better services. Our work is totally dependant on donations. Help us to find a cure and improve life for everyone affected by Parkinson's.

Hi, thanks for visiting my page. Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.

One in 500 have parkinson's and that represents about 120,000 in the
UK. The main symptoms of Parkinson's is tremor, rigidity and slowness
of movement. There is currently no cure For parkinson's and we don't
yet know why people get the disease.

My grandmother has had the disease for some 25-30 years now so this
has given me extra motivation to support the charity, by running the Reading Half Marathon on the 20th March 2011. Please give
generously as this will i'm sure go along way in supporting all with
this condition.

Many Thanks

Lee
