Heads Up, researching head and neck cancers

Fundraiser:
Heads Up

My page: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/HeadsUpOxford

Heads Up funds pioneering scientific research at the University of Oxford specifically into head and neck cancers. By learning more about this group of diseases we hope to find ways to prevent them, and to develop treatments that result in fewer life-changing side effects.

Based in Oxford, Heads Up is managed by the umbrella charity of Oxford Radcliffe Hospital's Charitable Funds (registered charity 1057295, fund 2119). For further information about our work please visit our website or our Facebook page.

Thanks to our generous supporters, over the last two years we have provided £65,000 of funding for a research project into the use of a protein marker to predict the effectiveness of head and neck cancer treatments.  The project successfully achieved its objectives and has pointed the way to further research.

In 2016 we funded two new small projects, one of which builds on the work described above, and work to further this research is planned for 2017, which will cost around £20,000.  Please donate now to support this important work.

If you are a UK taxpayer, please be sure to complete the Gift Aid declaration, as this allows Heads Up to claim an additional 25% at absolutely no cost to you.

If you wish to make a regular donation, please e-mail ray.derkacz@heads-up.org.uk for information on how to set this up.
