Charities

The National Brain Appeal
The National Brain Appeal (formerly the National Hospital Development Foundation) is the charity dedicated to raising funds for The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. Ten million people in the UK suffer from a neurological disorder, either from birth, through injury or a slowly developing illness. The National is one of the world’s leading centres for the diagnosis, treatment and care of patients with a wide range of neurological conditions.
The Stroke Association
We believe in life after stroke. That’s why we campaign to improve stroke care and support people to make the best possible recovery. It’s why we fund research into new treatments and ways to prevent stroke. We are a charity, and rely on your support to change lives and prevent stroke. Thank you.

Hi, thanks for visiting our page and lending your support to our cause. We strongly believe in the work of both the Stroke Association and the National Brain Appeal. It was only when a stroke effected one of our closest friends father that we noticed how much these charities do but importantly how many are affected. One in six people in the UK are affected by a neurological disorder, this can be from birth, through a slow developing illness or through brain injury.

With your help we can help both of these charities complete some critical work. The National Hospital for neurology has four operating theatres, however the number of surgical procedures that can be carried out is limited. The National Hospital is seeing a 20% rise in cases year on year, and the current facilities cannot accommodate the advanced equipment that is needed. With your support we can help them get a little closer to their £4m target to increase capacity.

The Stroke Association is the UK’s leading stroke charity which campaigns to improve stroke care; supports people to make the best recovery they can and funds ground-breaking research to change the lives of people affected by stroke. With your help we can continue to help fund the great work done at the Lewisham Stroke Group which is a safe haven for stroke survivors, helping them to meet other people going through the same experience.

Thanks again for you donations. It's going to be a hell of a challenge and we're happy you can be part of it.

All the best,

Lorenzo, Alastair, Hugo, Martin, Laura, Dominic, Nick Will and Guy
