The longest football match EVER!! (48 hours)
Hi, thanks for visiting my page.
So… what is this world record attempt then?
It's simple – starting at 6pm on Friday 30th April, friends of Cambray FC aim to break the Guinness World Record for the longest continuous football match ever using 2 squads of only 18 players. The current record stands at 37 hours.
We’re aiming for 40 hours plus – so finishing at some point on Sunday 2nd May!
Okay, so maybe it’s not quite that simple! There are a lot of rules to follow, but...
... why are we doing this?
We are aiming to raise enough money - a minimum of £30,000 – to build a school in India for the Dalit community.
250 million people in India (that’s roughly four times the population of the UK) are victims of a system that means they are denied access to many of the basic rights that we all take for granted. Please check out the short video on our website which provides a graphic portrayal of the issues.
