I'm running the Adidas Women's challenge!
Hi!
Thanks for visiting my page. I am running the Adidas Women's challenge to raise awareness of breast cancer, and raise funds for Breakthrough Breast Cancer. My goal is to run the 5K in 30 minutes -quite a challenge for someone who, like me, is useless at running!
My inspiration came from my amazing friend Hester, who was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 27. I met her about a year after she had been diagnosed, and when she told me what had happened to her, I could not believe that such a happy and fun young woman, always with a smile on her face, could have been through such a difficult time.
After 4 cycles of chemotherapy and 3 years on medications, Hester finally won her fight, and beat the 50% chance of not being able to have children, and has now a beautiful, healthy 14 months old girl.
Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this.
