The Myton Hospices
At Myton we believe that everyone matters for every single moment of their life and that treating patients with dignity and respect is more important than meeting targets. We also know that making someone feel better is not just about medicine; sometimes holding someone’s hand or taking the time to listen to their fears makes the greatest difference; if someone you love was dying isn’t that what you would want for them? We touch the lives of almost 4,000 people each year across Coventry and Warwickshire, in our hospices, via our patient and family support services and in the community through Myton at Home. We have to raise almost £8 million each year to continue providing our care. We can’t do it without people like you.
Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust
Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust is the UK’s only cervical cancer charity dedicated to women, their families and friends affected by cervical abnormalities and cervical cancer. It was established by James Maxwell following the death of his wife, Jo (40) from cervical cancer in 1999. Cervical cancer is the most common cancer in women aged 20-29 and the second most common cancer in women under 35 years old. Every day in the UK nearly 3 women die of cervical cancer with 8 being diagnosed with an uncertain future. Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust is there to ensure that women never feel alone at all stages of their journey by providing a range of information and support services 24 hours a day. What does Jo’s Trust offer? 1. About Cervical Cancer: A portal for information about cervical abnormalities and cervical cancer, which is written, frequently reviewed and updated by medical professionals. 2. ‘Let’s Meet ’: An open chat forum where women ‘meet’, share experiences, network and support others facing similar challenges. We also run an annual Let’s Meet event enabling women, friends and families to get together for shared support. 3. Confidential Medical Advice: A forum for individuals to post a medical question to our panel of medical experts. This popular service is invaluable to those seeking a greater understanding of their own condition. 4. Campaigns: Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust campaigns to influence UK Governments to implement new/improved preventative, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for cervical cancer 5. Awareness ; We work to educate the public and health professionals to increase understanding the causes of cervical cancer and how to prevent it. 6. Developing new services: We will shortly be setting up a range of new services in including: a dedicated helpline, local support groups and regional information days.

My page: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/Insfriends

In May 2012 we lost an inspirational friend to cervical cancer. In the 23 years she was on this planet Elle managed to fit in numerous endeavours and adventures, inspiring the lives of many. Hannah set up Inspirational Friends because she was inspired by Elle, not just her ability to fill her life with adventures but also the courageous and dignified way she faced death.

Donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. We really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.
