Islington Law Centre's fundraising page
Thank you for visiting our team's fundraising page for the 2012 London Legal sponsored walk.
Our team consists of:- Ruth Hayes, Alison Moore, Fiona Mogre, Habtom Tesfay, Roisin Overton, Lindsay Edkins, Jemima Joll, Elaine Atkins, Eunice Bellot and Karen Jones.
We are walking to raise funds for Islington Law Centre and all funds received by LLST from this page will be donated to the Law Centre without deduction.
The need for the Law Centre's services has grown during the recession but funding for those services has not grown, and the loss of legal aid income will mean that even more people will be approaching us for help.
The Law Centre helps the poorest and most vulnerable people in the borough and we are walking so that as many of those people can be helped as possible. We are particularly keen to extend our volunteer and pro bono sessions, and would like to pilot some Saturday morning sessions for people who are at work during the week. With your help we can do this!
