Nelson's Journey
Nelson’s Journey is a registered charity providing a service for children and young people aged 0 - 17 years inclusive, living in Norfolk, who have experienced the death of a significant person in their life. We aim to improve the emotional well being of bereaved children by: increasing their confidence and self belief, providing education about the causes of death and enabling families to talk openly about their bereavement. We also provide opportunities to remember those who have died and help children to express and understand their emotions. Nelson's Journey endeavours to 'Bring back smiles to bereaved children.'

Ryan, Dave and James of JDC Corporate Finance have set themselves the challenge of completing the National Three Peaks Challenge within 36 hours on 7 & 8 July 2017.

The challenge will consist of climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon, which are the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales respectively.

JDC have chosen to raise funds for Nelson's Journey, a local charity that supports children and young people, 0-17 years inclusive, living in Norfolk, who have experienced the death of a special person in their lives.

What your donations could fund:

• £6 could fund a teddy bear for a bereaved child or young person.

• £10 could fund a worry eater which supports children with anxieties which can occur following a bereavement.

• £20 could fund a selection of bereavement work books for children.

• £50 could fund a wide range of resources for our Child Bereavement Support Workers to use during 1:1 support sessions including Memory Box, art and craft materials, therapeutic work books, Memory Bear etc.

• £300 could fund a place for a bereaved young person to attend a therapeutic weekend.

• £522 could fund an assessment of a child’s bereavement needs, attendance on a therapeutic weekend and 1:1 follow up work.

young people who are supported by Nelson’s Journey.
No matter what you are able to donate it will make a difference to Norfolk’s bereaved children and young people who are supported by Nelson’s Journey.
