Heart Research UK
At Heart Research UK we fund medical research into the prevention, treatment and cure of heart disease. Around two million people in the UK are living with heart disease. However, thanks to improved treatment and techniques funded by Heart Research UK, more people are surviving and living happier, healthier, longer lives. In 2007, we celebrated our 40th anniversary and over the last four decades we have funded many pioneering projects at the cutting edge of science. We paid for six of the eight first successful UK heart transplants, carried out by Sir Terence English at Papworth Hospital. Life saving technology that we now take for granted, such as heart valves, angioplasty and more recently, amazing artificial heart pumps, would not have been developed without our help. We would prefer for there to be no heart problems in the first place so we promote the benefits of living a healthy heart lifestyle. Our Healthy Heart grants, school and community talks and Healthy Heart workplace schemes reach communities and give them the knowledge and advice they need to take care of their heart health. Thank You

Big thank you for just visiting my page, but if you can help me just that one step further it would mean more than you could possibly know.

Im March 2015 i decieded to start running but i needed inspiration to push me that bit further. So i decieded to run for somthing and someone that means the earth to me.

So i run for HEART RESEARCH UK. About 4 years ago my Dad was had minor heart attacks and his life changed dramaticly, with his condition taking away alot of his freedom. The doctors told my farther that with out further action he would only see another year or two. My Dad had no choice but to under a heart bypass.

This procedure changed not only his life but all of his families lives too. We still have our Dad 4 years on, and he has seen 3 more Grandchildren and his son get married and his daughter enaged and many more amazing things, but non of this would of been possible with charities like Heart Research UK.

So you helping me today, pushing me that extra mile will help many more people like my Dad and more families like mine.

So in 2015 i went from not being able to job down the street to running a half marathon, so in 2016 help me make the 26 Mile,
