Hemihelp
Hemiplegia is a neurological condition that weakens one side of the body and affects one child in a thousand. It is sometimes described as a form of cerebral palsy and the effects are similar to those of a stroke. HemiHelp is a membership organisation offering information and support to children and their families affected by hemiplegia.

Running for HemiHelp

Fundraiser:
Jacquetta Wheeler

My page: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/JacquettaWheeler

Hi, and thanks for visiting my page. Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me to run the marathon and donations will be quickly processed and passed directly to HemiHelp. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on Hemihelp's behalf where the donor is eligible for this.

My sister was born with Hemiplegia, and so HemiHelp is close to my heart.  It is a neurological condition that children are born with and carry for their whole life.  The main disability that all people with hemiplegia suffer is the inability to use one arm, but many children also suffer from learning difficulties, and also epilepsy.  Although Sarah has led a vibrant and full life, there are many children whom it affects much more severely, and also many parents out there who need the support of an organization like HemiHelp once their child has been diagnosed.  I am running 26 miles on 25th April in the London Marathon to raise money for HemiHelp.

On behalf of everyone who will benefit from your donation, thank you for your support.
