James Lamyman is running the London Marathon

Fundraiser:

My Page: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/JamesLamyman

Those who know me well know I'm not really a runner, never have been.  So why do i find myself running the Marathon?  We'll that's for my friend Kemal, his family and others like them supported by the great work at CHASE Hospice.

A couple of years ago Kemal and Sony had a baby daughter, Leyla. Leyla has a metabolic condition called mitochondrial disease and is severely affected.  She has seizures, visual impairment, cannot feed orally and cannot communicate or walk. There is no treatment or cure. I urge you to read Kemal's blog http://leylasdad.blogspot.com to learn more.

Families shouldn't have to experience such difficulties, but its a sad fact of life that they do.  This is where CHASE comes in offering support and respite at their Hospice.

Everyone has a reason for running the Marathon.  I have mine.

Thanks for visiting.

My charity

CHASE CHASE hospice care for children provides nursing, practical, and emotional support to families with children who are not expected to reach their 19th birthday, across South West London, Surrey and Sussex. The CHASE service is committed to offering a personalised service to suit each family’s individual needs. Dedicated help is given starting immediately after diagnosis, through bereavement and beyond. This support is offered to families in their homes, their local communities and at our children’s hospice, Christopher’s.
