CLIC Sargent helps children and young people with cancer and their families with the trauma of diagnosis, the often long journey through treatment and continues to support them afterwards. Every day 10 families are told that their child has cancer. Diagnosis often comes as a shock. Treatment usually starts straightaway and can last up to three years. CLIC Sargent is there with clinical, practical and emotional support, every step of the way.

To celebrate Hoburne Holiday Parks 100th Birthday in 2012, the company are aiming to raise £100,000 to donate to our chosen Charity CLIC Sargent.
I've set myself the challenge of cycling from Hoburne Doublebois in Cornwall to Hoburne Park in Dorset, visiting each holiday park along the way - a total of 350 miles in all!!! My sister Sue Marchant is joining me in this challenge.
We'll be crossing the finishing line on Monday 7th May - 100 years to the day that Hoburne Park was purchased by our current Chairman's great grandfather.
Anything you'd be able to donate towards our challenge would be greatly recieved, and go a long way to help CLIC Sargent -Hoburne's fantastic chosen charity for 2012.

During treatment – providing specialist nurses, play specialists, Homes from Home
In hospital & at home – offering specialist social care and support in the community – services for young people, holidays, grants
After treatment – helping survivors, supporting those bereaved
