CLIC Sargent helps children and young people with cancer and their families with the trauma of diagnosis, the often long journey through treatment and continues to support them afterwards. Every day 10 families are told that their child has cancer. Diagnosis often comes as a shock. Treatment usually starts straightaway and can last up to three years. CLIC Sargent is there with clinical, practical and emotional support, every step of the way.

Jayne Browne London Marathon

It all started 2 years ago at the age of 45, thinking I was heading towards 50, I decided I needed to do some fitness. I joined the gym and then my husband said the best form of exercise apart from football!!! of course is running. I took myself over the local green area, once around was nearly 1 mile. That was my goal, once I did that I got the bug and wanted to achieve more, entered a 5k, then a 10k, joined East London Runners club and haven't looked back. People at the club are an inspiration and I would hear them talk about entering half and full marathons. I have now run 2 half marathons so decided now was the time to do the big one and I am so excited it is the London Marathon.
