Charity

The Meningitis Trust
The Meningitis Trust is the UK’s longest established meningitis charity. It helps around 20,000 people each year through its range of specialist services; giving vital support to those who have been affected by this life-changing disease. With as many as 500,000 people living in the UK who have had either viral or bacterial meningitis and up to one adult in every four knowing someone who has had meningitis, the charity’s ongoing work is much-needed. The charity is committed to raising awareness of the signs and symptoms of meningitis and distributes millions of leaflets, posters, symptoms cards, information sheets and other materials every year. Ironman and The London Marathon!

Fundraiser:
Jeanette Lask

My page: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/JeanetteLask

Helloster!  Thank you for visiting my page.

I've decided to go crazy (well crazier than I already am!) starting with The Tauranga Half Ironman on January 9th - 2km swim, 90Km bike and half a marathon. Moving on to The Taupo Ironman - March 6th - 3.8km swim, 180km bike and a marathon and then topping it off with 'The London Marathon' - April 25th!

Why? Because I'm mad!

My cousin Alice Faith Mittelman died of pneumococcal meningitis aged 2 years old. A tragedy. Meningitis and meningococcal septicaemia (blood poisoning) can strike in an instant but their impact can last a lifetime. As the trust says, 'Meningitis will always be with us. Even when there are vaccines to prevent the most common strains of bacterial meningitis, cases will still occur, particularly of viral meningitis, which cannot be prevented by vaccine. The Meningitis Trust is vitally important in supporting  those affected by meningitis and their families.

Please help me to help them. Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.

Thank you! Merci! Arigato! Asante Sana! Gracias! Grazie!
