As one of the UK's leading children's charities, Barnardo's works directly with over 100,000 children, young people and their families every year. We run nearly 400 vital projects across the UK, including counselling for children who have been abused, fostering and adoption services, vocational training and disability inclusion groups. Every Barnardo's project is different but each believes in the potential in every child and young person, no matter who they are, what they have done or what they have been through. Whatever the issue from drug misuse to disability; youth crime to mental health; sexual abuse to domestic violence; poverty to homelessness; Barnardo’s believes we can bring out the best in every child.

Jeremiah runs the Great North Run
So this year I decided to take up running and set myself the target of completing the Great North Run in September, after which I will consider myself to be a runner. I’ve been training on and off since the start of the year and this will be the first time I have run the GNR - scary.
I am feeling 'fairly' confident that I can do it and really looking forward to the challenge! But this is not about me it's about helping others; I decided to do the Great North Run as part of the Barnardo's Team. Barnardo’s are a great charity doing work to support young people, something I am passionate about and try to do as well through my work at Ideonic. I love their vision and it is something I believe in and want to support:
“We believe in the potential of every child and young person, no matter who they are, what they have done or what they have been through.”
I’m hoping to raise around £500 and would appreciate anything that you can donate towards it. Thanks in advance and I hope to see some of you there running on Sept 19th too!
