Jez's Footballing Charityness
Hi,
Mostly I'm very lazy on the pitch. I want to take that to a new level and tire myself out so much that I actually become just lazy in everyday life. So I'm gonna play football for two days and see how that goes. Also I thought it would be good to raise some money for people who need it far more than I do and would probably love the chance to be lazy for even a few minutes. So go on and sponsor me and we'll build us a school for some kids that need a chance in life.
More below.....
I am involved in supporting a charity event which will attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the longest continuous football match ever using 2 squads of only 18 players. The current record stands at 37 hours and we are aiming for 40 hours plus. The players have to sleep at the pitch side when not playing, only getting 5 minutes "comfort" breaks for every hour they play. This is an immense commitment physically and mentally but more importantly it?s for a great cause –
To raise £30,000 to build a school for some of the poorest and oppressed children of the Dalit Community in India. All money raised will go to an organisation called Relief, Education and Development who build the Schools. Please view the 2 minute long video link on the home page of www.football4dalits.com If you are moved as I was to be involved then please give generously. I really appreciate your support - with all my thanks. For further information please go to our website www.football4dalits.com
