Jo's BIG Fundraiser - support me!
My page: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/JoRibchester
Hi there! Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
As many of you know, I started running again back in 2008 after having lost over 4 stone in weight. My ultimate goal at the time was to run 'London' in 2010, a childhood dream that I never thought I would realise, but here I am.
The charity I have chosen is Children's Liver Disease Foundation. There's a little boy in Elizabeth's class who was diagnosed with liver disease at just 7 weeks old; at 8 weeks he had to undergo life-saving surgery. Harry, lives everyday having to take twice daily medication. He cannot take part in vigorous sports for risk of further damage to his enlarged liver and spleen. He will eventually require a liver transplant.
Today and every day, at least two other children will be diagnosed with liver disease like Harry. Liver disease affects more children than childhood leukaemia. It has no cures; it means a lifetime of care.
Help me support Harry and other children like him. Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and the donations will be quickly processed and passed to the charity. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on the charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this.
I really appreciate all your support and thank you in advance for any donations.
Wish me luck in the race! With Love, Jo xx

After panicking whether I would sell enough tickets or whether I'd have to cancel, my Charity Valentine's Ball went ahead and raised a HUGE £955 towards my fundraising target. Thank you to everyone who contributed to it's success.
My next event: Frog Racing at Hampstead House, West Heath - Sat 6th March 2010. £5 a ticket to include a fish and chip supper. Contact me now for tickets.
