John Crisp's London Marathon 2013

Fundraiser:
John Crisp

My page: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/JohnCrisp1

Hi, thanks for visiting my page.

In January 2007, at the age of only 42, my wife Lynne, was diagnosed with very aggressive triple negative Breast Cancer.

Six years on, Lynne is 'fighting fit' and has faced the challenges before her with an amazing spirit and humour that defies the pain and anguish that she and all cancer sufferers go through - she is an amazing woman and a true inspiration to me and our wonderful children!

Last year I ran my first marathon, which was an amazing experience and thanks to the incredible generosity of family, friends and colleages I managed to raise in excess of £6,000 for breast cancer research.

After being very fortunate to attend the annual Breast Cancer Care fundraising Fashion show I was again astonished and inspired by the amazing models, all of who were men and women at different stages of their personal battles against Breast Cancer.

It was a no brainer for me - I just had to run the marathon again and be a part of the Breast Cancer Care Team, raising money to support the amazing work that they do!

  • Breast Cancer is the most common cancer in the UK.
  • Approximately 140 women are diagnosed with breast cancer every day.
  • More than 400 men are diagnosed with breast cancer every year.

Breast Cancer Care combine the personal experiences of people affected by breast cancer with clinical expertise, using this in a unique way to:

  • provide information and offer emotional and practical support
  • bring people affected by breast cancer together
  • campaign for improvement in standards of support and care
  • promote the importance of early detection.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my page and thank you so much for your support.
