Help for Heroes
Help for Heroes (H4H) was founded by Bryn and Emma Parry after a profoundly moving visit to Selly Oak Hospital in the summer of 2007. Bryn and Emma met some extraordinarily brave young people who had been badly wounded and they just wanted to do something to help. "It’s about the blokes, our men and women of the Armed Forces. It’s about Derek, a rugby player who has lost both his legs, it’s about Carl whose jaw is wired up so he has been drinking through a straw. It’s about Richard who was handed a mobile phone as he lay on the stretcher so he could say goodbye to his wife. It’s about Ben, it’s about Steven and Andy and Mark, it’s about them all. They are just blokes but they are our blokes; they are our heroes. We want to help our heroes."
The Light Dragoons Regimental Charity
The Charity exists to provide support to the members and former members of the Regiment and it's antecedent Regiments by way of offering assistance to those in need, suffering hardship or distress by way of grants, gifts or payments for services or facilities, preserving the traditions of the Regiment and fostering esprit de corps within the serving Regiment and the Regimental Association.
Scotty's Little Soldiers
Scotty’s Little Soldiers is a charity dedicated to supporting bereaved British Forces Children. Inspired by the experience of army widow Nikki Scott, the charity honours husband Corporal Lee Scott's memory - both as a loyal soldier and a loving father - and provides a practical yet personal way for the public at large to show their appreciation for those brave individuals who make the ultimate sacrifice in the service of their country.

Hi,

On the 2nd of August this year I will be taking part in my second Tough Mudder race in North Yorkshire.  This year I will be raising money for 3 charities,Scotty's Little soldiers, The Light Dragoons Regimental charity and Help for Heroes.

Scotty's little soldiers is a charity that works with the children of soldiers who have been killed in action.

The Light dragoons Regimental charity provides support to both former and serving light dragoons and their families. Since 2009 the demands placed on the charity have significantly increased due to members of the regiment being killed or wounded in action on operations in afghanistan.

Help for Heroes works to provide support to wounded soldiers and veterans in rehabilitating as much as possible after being wounded in the line of duty.

Please give as much as you can every little bit helps and its a great cause that helps those who have already given so much.

Thank you
