NASS is the patient organisation for people with ankylosing spondylitis (AS) which is a painful progressive rheumatic disease which mainly affects the spine. We provide advice, support and information for patients and their families and with 83 active local branches in the UK.

I have decided to run the Birmingham half marathon this year and I'm going to be raising money for the National Ankylosing Spondylitis Society (NASS) In memory on my lovely uncle Malcolm Armitt. This played a big part into his cause of death leaving his family and friends absolutely devasted to lose him at such a young age that he was! Gone but NEVER forgotten; I have been meaning to do this for a while but I've never considered myself fit enough to do this untill now! I'm going to do it, whatever it takes.... in my super mario outfit! I will run the half Marathon with pride for Malcolm and in hope that no other families have to go through what mine did.
