Jules Tarrant's (Dedman) fundraising page
Jules Tarrant, Physiotherapist at Physioactive Chartered Physiotherapy Clinic in East Preston will be attempting to run in her first ever London Marathon on Sunday 17th April 2011 to raise money for The British Heart Foundation.
Jules says; "12 years ago, my Uncle was close to death at the age of 49 due to hereditary heart disease. He was so lucky as he was put on the Heart Transplant list and after 3 days a donor heart became available and he underwent a heart transplant operation. Today, my Uncle is alive and in better health 12 years on than he had been for a long while before the operation. He has been able to live to see his children growing up which is so wonderful. Thanks to pioneering research by The British Heart Foundation into the causes of heart disease as well as this charity playing a major role in the development of medical treatment for these conditions, medical science is able to offer these life saving operations. I would really appreciate your support and thank you for any sponsorship donations you are able to give to this charity close to my own heart.''
The Virgin Marathon is one of the great British sporting events, combining elite and amateur athletes, with mass participation and record breaking fundraising in one race. The course is a gruelling 26 miles 385 yards long, passing through the streets of London from Blackheath to the famous finish line at The Mall.
