Inca Trail Trek 2011

24 March 2011

From high remote mountain trails to the first sight of the legendary Lost City of the Incas, this is a challenging 10 day trek that will take you through the capital of the Inca Empire, Cusco, and the surrounding Sacred Valley. You will walk through cloud forests and steep passes, exploring ancient Inca settlements by day, and camping amongst ruins by night.

Hi, thanks for visiting my page. Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.

I will turn 50 in March 2011 and want to celebrate this in a meaningful way. What better way than to complete the challenge of a lifetime whilst raising money at the same time for a good cause? I will be walking the Inca path in Peru! A challenge in itself, but in addition to this and in order to prepare for this I have to lose 3 stone in weight and improve my physical fitness to a point where I will be able to walk the number of miles required to reach Machu Picchu at altitude! In addition to this I intend to raise a minimum of £3250 which will go towards the Charity 'Have a Heart' which will benefit disadvantaged and disabled children in the local area.

All of your support and donations are extremely welcome. Without you this will not be possible.

I will keep you all updated with the progress I am making.....so, keep me as a favourite and watch this space.
