A journey up Kilimanjaro is tough enough. But we wanted to go further, to take Scottish hospitality to new heights and take a great a tradition to top of the world.

In January 2011, 21 intrepid climbers will host the world’s first Burn’s Supper on top of Mount Kilimanjaro. This never before seen feat is all being done in aid of the Hospitality Industry Trust (HIT) Scotland.

HIT Scotland is a Scottish based charity which raises funds to support & encourage excellence in the hospitality Industry. Its mission is “to assist people to achieve their potential within Scottish hospitality”.

Of course there are a few outstanding questions, such as how many of us will succumb to altitude sickness, will our legs hold out and what will Africa think of haggis, neeps and tatties?
