Charity

New Life Home Trust UK CIO
New Life Home Trust rescues and cares for abandoned babies in Kenya some of whom are HIV positive. We aim to find loving homes for them through adoption, where possible in Kenya but also internationally. Over the last 20 years we have rescued over 1300 babies, the majority have been placed with adoptive parents. We continue to care for those not adopted, many of whom have special needs.

Hi, thanks for visiting my page.

This year I am Walking Across Kenya ... sort of!   The furthest distance across Kenya is from the north east to the south west - 1,131km.

I am walking this same distance .... across Aberdeenshire!

Update: at 2nd June I am well over half way, having walked 651km / 405 miles so far.

Walking Across Kenya .... sort of!
The furthest distance across Kenya is from the north east to the south west - 1,131km.
I plan to walk this distance this year ....... across Aberdeenshire!
I am raising money for abandoned & orphaned Kenyan babies, to give them a New Life.
For the last 7 years friends of ours, Guy & Susanna Bastable, have being living and working at the New Life Home for abandoned & orphaned babies in Nairobi. They used to live in Aberdeenshire and my daughter, Iona, went to school with their two youngest sons (who were both originally rescued by that same New Life Home).
Right now New Life are fundraising to secure their water supplies. The home has its own borehole but with much construction happening around them water tables are disturbed and diminished.
As Guy told me recently,
"As more and more buildings go UP (like the new 18-storey one directly across the road from us), so the water table goes DOWN!"
New Life need to deepen their bore holes to reach beneath these levels of disruption.
This is an extremely expensive operation.
Your donation will help keep the water supply clean and long lasting, and so ensure a new, good & healthy life for these beautiful babies.... these little bundles of sunshine.his year I will be Walking Across Kenya .... sort of!The furthest distance across Kenya is from the north east to the south west - 1,131km.I plan to walk this distance this year ....... across Aberdeenshire!I am raising money for abandoned & orphaned Kenyan babies, to give them a New Life. The furthest distance across Kenya is from the north east to the south west - 1,131km.I plan to walk this distance this year ....... across Aberdeenshire! The furthest distance across Kenya is from the north east to the south west - 1,131km.
I am raising money for abandoned & orphaned Kenyan babies, to give them a New Life. For the last 7 years, our family friends, Guy & Susanna Bastable, have been living and working at the Nairobi New Life Home, rescuing sick & vulnerable babies and giving them a New Life. The Bastables used to live in Aberdeenshire and my daughter went to school with their two youngest sons, who were both originally rescued by that same New Life Home.

Right now New Life are fundraising to secure their water supplies. The 4 New Life Homes across Kenya have their own bore holes but with much new construction happening around them water tables are disturbed and diminished. As Guy told me recently,"As more and more buildings go UP (like the new 18-storey one directly across the road from us), so the water table goes DOWN!"
New Life need to deepen their bore holes to reach beneath these levels of disruption. This is an extremely expensive operation.

With many ill-health issues arising from unclean water you can understand the necessity for a pure and constant water supply for homes that look after children, and especially for the sick babies. A clean, pure, safe & reliable water supply is everything here... for drinking, for cooking, for warming the bottles of milk, for washing the babies, washing nappies, washing clothes, keeping the homes clean and the floors mopped that the babies crawl on, keeping the rescue vehicles clean and hygienic for the babies they bring home to New Life, as well as water for playing and for keeping cool in their location on the equator ...  the list of how clean water is used in their daily life is long.  Your donation will help keep the water supply clean and long lasting, and so ensure a good, healthy new life for these beautiful babies.... these little bundles of sunshine.

Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to the New Life Home Trust. Virgin Money Giving is a not-for-profit organisation and will claim gift aid on the charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.  Libby x

24.04.17 Hello, Libby. This gift is from James and Mary Alice Wilson. We met them in Kenya last year. They transferred their donation into my account, because that was easier for them. And now I am passing it on to you. Keep up the good (leg)work! x

24.04.17 Have you reached Africa yet or are you still floundering across Europe or maybe you are walking on water if you went by the direct route

22.04.17 Libby! We are so proud of you! Our snow has only just melted, and the green is just poking through, so the thought of walking anywhere sounds marvellous. If only we could fly over and join you. I'll do so in spirit! xxJulie
