CLIC Sargent helps children and young people with cancer and their families with the trauma of diagnosis, the often long journey through treatment and continues to support them afterwards. Every day 10 families are told that their child has cancer. Diagnosis often comes as a shock. Treatment usually starts straightaway and can last up to three years. CLIC Sargent is there with clinical, practical and emotional support, every step of the way.

LISA'S MARATHON CHALLENGE!

As some of you may well know, Ollie my youngest son was diagnosed with a rare form of Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML0) in August 2002, aged just 5 years old. Thankfully he has fully recovered and as you know is now a very healthy and extremely fit young boy! Since then I have dreamed of running a Marathon to help raise money for charity....So after having 2 Great North Runs and a Paris Half Marathon under my belt - I have decided that it is time for the BIG ONE! - "The London Marathon"!!! I am running for a Charity that is very close to our hearts "CLIC Sargent Children's Cancer Charity", which helps support children, and their families who have been diagnosed with Cancer or Leukaemia. Of course I will do the hard part - run the 26.2 miles!! You have to do the easy part - SPONSOR ME!! Please help me to raise money for this fantastic charity - no matter how small, every donation will help me to my target of £1800.00.
