The Butterfly Hospice Trust
Firstly, thank you to all of you who are raising funds for the Butterfly Hospice via Virgin moneygiving. A hospice is not just a building; it is a way of caring for and improving the lives of people who have a life-limiting illness or terminal illness helping them to live well before they die. The Butterfly Hospice is a new hospice funded by the local South Lincolnshire Communities to enable them to have an accessible local hospice for local people. To achieve this aim the communities of Lincolnshire raised £1million and the hospice was built. The hospice stands in 4 acres of grounds adjacent to Boston's Pilgrim Hospital Each room has an en suite bathroom with a patio and access to the gardens with willow arbours, orchard and floral areas. The Butterfly hospice formed a strategic partnership with the Lincolnshire Community Health Services to collaboratively deliver palliative care in the hospice. A further partnership has been formed with the local branch of CRUSE bereavement services which allows for more bereaved people in the local community to receives the care and support they need.

Hi, thanks for visiting our page. Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor us and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. We really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.

For those interested we completed the ride in just over 5 hours 15 minutes, taking 26 minutes less on the return journey due to the favourable wind (which certainly wasn't on the outward journey). We only fell off the tandem once - on the return journey - at exactly the place we nearly fell off on the outward journey! But all that was really hurt was our pride. If you haven't donated already please help to swell our total. Every little helps!
