Charity
The Helena Kennedy Foundation exists to overcome social injustice by providing financial bursaries, mentoring and support to disadvantaged students from the further and adult education sectors, enabling them to complete their studies in higher education and move on successfully into employment. The Foundation is an independent charity which relies entirely on voluntary donations; we open the door to a thriving network of like-minded individuals who are keen to 'put something back' by making an active contribution to society.
Please note Virgin Money Giving isn't responsible for the content fundraisers post on their pages, but if you see something you feel is offensive or inappropriate, please let us know and we'll look into it.

The Helena Kennedy Foundation is a national, independent, educational charity which exists to improve life chances for disadvantaged students from the further and adult education sectors by providing bursaries, mentoring, training and support, enabling them to go on to university and move on successfully into graduate professions.
Your support can make a transformational impact on students like Mohammed. His family escaped war torn Somalia. Further Education gave him the chance to learn English, study for A-levels and win a place at St George’s Medical school. He is now working as a doctor at St. George’s Hospital in London. Mohammed says: “The Foundation helped me so much – not only financially but mentally. When I won the award, I thought that there are people out there who believe in me, people out there who support me - the award transformed me”.
Personal message from Baroness Kennedy:
“When the Foundation was set up, I had no idea that 12 years later it would have made such a direct, significant and personal impact upon the lives of so many disadvantaged students. The Foundation is entirely dependent on voluntary donations and I am grateful to Nick and Lsect for setting up this facility for you to make a donation, in recognition of the free services he provides to the sector, to support our students. This will help us to continue to increase our range of innovative programmes of access and support, offering mentoring, internships, skills training and workshadowing, as well as the financial bursary”.
