Scene And Heard
Scene & Heard is a unique mentoring project that partners the inner-city children of Somers Town, London with volunteer theatre professionals. Each child is provided with quality one-to-one adult attention and an experience of personal success through the process of writing their own plays and seeing them performed by professional actors.

London Marathon take 2

Fundraiser:
Lucy Eggleston

My page: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/LucyEggleston

Six years on from my one and only marathon attempt I'm returning to London to soak up the atmosphere once more.  Six years older, six years slower - so this time I'm running it not to beat a PB but for a charity I am a trustee of, Scene and Heard.

Scene and Heard are a small but perfectly formed charity based close to King Cross, London.  It is a unique mentoring project that partners inner city children with volunteer theatre professionals.  We give the children intensive, one to one adult attention, enabling them to write plays that are then performed by professional actors.

Our performances give the children immediate and public experiences of success, raising their aspirations and boosting their self-esteem.  Our work improves literacy skills and attitudes towards education and develops communication and social skills.

Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to Scene and Heard. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.
