Every child has their own unique dream and making that dream come true for a child not only brightens their life but is a gift of joy and wonderful memories that parents and family will treasure forever. That's what we do at Dreams Come True every day. From specially adapted trykes to swimming with dolphins, meeting a favourite sports hero to a once in a life time holiday in the sun we can make dreams come true with your help. We receive no government or lottery funding and rely on our fund raisers to support our work. 25,000 children move into palliative care every year so please run for us and make more dreams come true.

2012 Brighton Marathon

15 April 2012

Just two Brighton Marathons behind us and the Olympic year to come these are exciting times for running in the oh so energised city of Brighton and Hove and in the UK generally; next year will be quite some year! We anticipate the 2012 edition of the Brighton Marathon on Sunday 15th April, being bigger than either of the two previous editions and entries have been pouring in since the Monday morning immediately after our recent race on April 10th. If you’re thinking about entering, don’t think for too long!

This year I am running the Brighton Marathon - arrgghhhh!!!

Training is going well and i think people can start calling me Forest (as in forest Gump!)

If you can spare me a few bob to help me raise my £800 target for Dreams come true that would be fantastic.  Knowing how much money I have been able to raise will spur me on to complete the grueling 26.4 miles I have to complete!!  Particually as I know the money raised is going towards such a fantastic charity and we can help to make a childs dream come true - thanks to my legs, determination and your money and support!!

Dreams Come True is a children's charity serving the whole of the UK. Their mission is quite simply, to make dreams come true for seriously and terminally ill children across the country. Over the last 10 years they have brought happiness and joy to more than five thousand children as well as their friends, family and carers.

Dreams Come True helps children with both life threatening and long-term illness. They operate with complete integrity and dependability - liaising, coordinating, organising, funding and often accompanying the Dream children - to ensure that each child has an unforgettable experience fulfilling their dream, with wonderful memories to share with loved ones and friends.

Each dream is unique. Some children want to meet their celebrity hero or favourite Disney character while others want to visit their grandparents abroad, ride a unicorn, swim with dolphins or work on a fashion magazine. Many want help with their everyday lives and Dreams Come True is delighted to provide vital sensory equipment, wheelchairs or specially adapted bicycles as well.

Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this.
