Seafarers UK is the leading charity for the maritime community. For over 90 years we have been providing support to people from the Royal Navy, Merchant Navy and fishing fleets and their dependants. Our role as the only charity working across the maritime community, enables us to make sure that all of the money we raise is used to help as many people as possible throughout the UK. We help seafarers and their families to cope with the many problems they face, from homelessness, poverty and debt to bereavement and serious injury. We support seafarers of all ages from the youngest maritime trainee to veterans of the Second World War.

MARITIME CRAFT SERVICES GREAT SCOTTISH RUN
Hi, we at Maritime Craft decided to get off our backsides (and reduce the size of them at the same time) and get fit, so we are in training for the Great Scottish Run 10k on 5th September 2010 in Glasgow http://www.runglasgow.org/GSR-2010/ and are raising money for Seafarers UK, a charity that helps all seafarers and their families when they need help most, they also fund many small local charities that often deal with specific problems like poverty, debt and homlessness.
