2012 Virgin London Marathon

22 April 2012

The Virgin London Marathon is one of the great British sporting events, combining elite athletics, mass participation and record-breaking fundraising in one race. The course is a gruelling 26 miles 385 yards long, passing through the streets of London from Blackheath to the famous finish line at The Mall.

Hi, thanks for visiting my page.

I’m going to run for my organization, Earthwatch, in the London Marathon starting 9:00am on April 22nd , 2012.

I became a serious runner after my debut in Tokyo 2010; in the past 4 marathons I did all for my own record.  My best marathon so far was Osaka last Oct, finished in 3hours 12 minutes – indeed not too bad as a non-professional runner!  It was also a special experience, as I needed to choose the charity to support with part of my sign-up fee.  Charities supported were grouped into 7 colours to make a rainbow, a symbol of hope and peace. 

In London Marathon, I’ll try to run faster to make a new personal best.  I need your support to bring my finish beyond personal – your donation will contribute to Earthwatch to fulfill its mission.  Currently, Earthwatch runs more than 60 scientific researches globally to provide knowledge and understanding of the most critical environment problems like climate change, as well as engaging people from all walks of life to combat those problems and create a sustainable world.  To know more about Earthwatch please visit http://www.earthwatch.org .

Of course, I’m sure your donation and cheer will kick in my body like caffeine!  And it’s never too much for a run of 42.195km!  Please help me to reach my target of £1500.  Your every dollar will make my sweat more meaningful, my stride powerful.  I appreciate all donation and thanks in advance for all your support!

Ps. as part of my training, I finished a half marathon in February 5 in Hong Kong with a time 1hour28minutes, 6 minutes faster.  So, bet on me! ;->
