Musequality raises money to fund music projects for deprived children in the developing world giving them the skills, experiences and confidence they need to turn their lives around.

I have been a volunteer for Musequality for a year working on their World Busk and I have been inspired to become competent to join in the World Busk 2012 without frightening the horses.
In June 2011 I bought a clarinet which had been donated to Musequality and in July started lessons with the delightful Janet Eggleden of Mill Hill. My aim was to pass grade 2 in March 2012 and to busk two challenging pieces next June as part of the 2012 World Busk.
I passed grade 2 and am now practicing grade 4 pieces. It really is very rewarding and I recommend learning to play an instrument as fun way to spend some of the hard earned retirement time
Busk to come. In the meantime Janet is allwong me to sit in on a rehearsal of London Single Reeds who will be performing for Musequality on 17 June at Mill Hill Eas Church. I might even be allowed to blow a bit but it doesn't count as my busk
