FONSA is a Charitable Trust created to help the people of Nablus and surrounding areas who are suffering the effects of occupation. Nablus is the most important city in the West Bank and was the cultural and commercial capital of Palestine. Businesses and education have been severely affected. With high unemployment and endemic poverty, many families cannot afford education for their children. Nablus is home to An Najah National University which is the largest university in the West Bank and has other education centres. We support students, projects and developments which can help the people of Nablus to build on their thirst for education and develop their livelihoods.

FONSA is collecting money to help the villages of Madama and Burin.

We have contributed to the reconstruction of a community centre, provided equipment for schools and planted olive trees to help sustain the villages.

Your support is much appreciated by FONSA and by the people of Madama and Burin.

The villages

Madama and Burin are two small Palestinian villages south of Nablus in the Occupied West Bank. Near to them are two illegal settlements.  They have stolen substantial land from the villages and are renown for their violent attacks.

Donations through this page will be spent in the geographical areas of Madama and Burin villages.

You can give as much or as little as you are able - it all helps.  For more information see the FONSA web pages at www.fonsa.org.uk

You can write to us at info@fonsa.org.uk

Additional notes: Through Virgin Money Giving, your donation will be quickly processed and passed to FONSA. Virgin Money Giving is a not-for-profit organisation and will claim gift aid on our behalf if you are eligible and confirm your agreement. We really appreciate all your support and thank you for your donations.   Mike on behalf of the FONSA trustees.

24.04.13 Such attacks are outrageous by these illegal settlers and I want to send feelings of solidarity to the people of Burin and that this small amount will help towards repairs. I will also email my MP to make sure he is aware of the situation in Burin
