Religious about running - London Marathon2017

Max Livingstone-Learmonth, Sarah Dudgeon, Victoria Carter

My page:

The motivation

Max, Sarah and Vic ran the London Marathon together.  We have each sadly witnessed the impact of varying diseases and conditions as our parents age, and this year we are running in memory of Max's parents who both sadly died in the past few months.

We are all passionate runners, and have found running and its community can provide some mental respite, some invigoration and some inspiration through the turmoil and the grief.

The charities

We are raising money for Hospiscare, a small independent charity in Devon which helped care for Max's Mum in her final stages, and for Action Medical Research, a charity which funds medical research to help children, which Max's father supported over many years and which funded Sarah's grandfather in his pioneering research to invent the rubella vaccine.

The triple world record achieved!

To add a little more challenge, and a little more fun, we also broke three Guinness World Records!

Religious about running... the records we set:

- Fastest marathon dressed as a Bishop (Max)

- Fastest marathon dressed as a Monk (Sarah)

- Fastest marathon dressed as a Nun (Vic)

Bless you all for your support ;)
