Mencap
Mencap is the voice of learning disability. Everything Mencap does is about valuing and supporting people with a learning disability, and their families and carers. We work with people with a learning disability to change laws and services, challenge prejudice and directly support thousands of people to live their lives as they choose. There isn't room to list everything we do here, but there's loads of information on our website http://www.mencap.org.uk

The Big Bogle Challenge for Mencap North West

Fundraisers:
Emily Randall

My page: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/team/MencapBogle

Hello!

Great you've made it to our page now to persuade you to give up your money!

This is our first big fundraiser for Mencap North West and we've set ourselves the almighty target of raising £500. Every pound we raise will go towards supporting the 200,000 people with learning disabilities living in the North West. To do this we are going to walk 26 miles across from Manchester to Bolton and back! This isn't going to be easy! We need your help anything you can donate will be greatly appreciated so please spread the word and give what you can

£10 could help provide valuable information and social support to carers

£15 could help pay for 10 carers’ emergency cards and booklets, making sure that someone is always there in an a emergency

£25 could help pay for a home visit from Mencap support staff to help someone learn independent living skills

£50 could pay for two young people with a learning disability to take part in our Gateway Award programme for a year (this is similar to the Duke of Edinburgh Awards scheme)

£100 could pay for a course to provide the specialist training that volunteers need to support a child with a learning disability

£250 could pay for 16 children who cannot speak to attend a special workshop where they can learn the Makaton sign language

£500 which could help pay for a person to be trained to support and help older carers

£1000 could provide a specialist one-to-one carer for two months, helping a person with a learning disability to get the support that they really need

Thank You!

Charlotte Porter, Emily Randall and Jennie O'hara x
