Iain Rennie Grove House Hospice Care
Iain Rennie Grove House Hospice Care (IRGH) provides hospice care at home and in day hospice for patients with a life-limiting illness in Herts and Bucks. Our care is tailored to patients’ needs, whether that is end of life care or support through treatment and into remission. The charity’s free of charge services also include support for all the family following diagnosis, during the illness and after bereavement. Our nurses work closely with other healthcare professionals, striving to eliminate hospital admissions where possible and making the choice to stay at home a reality for thousands of patients each year

Hello and thank you for visiting my page.

I am running the London Marathon 2011 to raise money for the Iain Rennie Hospice at Home.

The Iain Rennie Hospice at Home is a registered charity providing care for patients with life-limiting conditions in their own homes around the Chilterns. In order to provide this specialist care they need to raise £4.8million pounds this year, and with only 9% coming from the Government they rely very heavily on the support of their community.

In the summer of 2010 Neale, Lindy, Diana and I cared for my Mum at home with the help of Iain Rennie Nurses.  Without their help Mum would have had to go into a hospice.  She wanted to be at home and we were privileged to to be able to care for her in the place she loved the most.  I cannot express in words how grateful I am to Iain Rennie, and therefore I have decided to run the London Marathon in memory of Mum and in order to raise money to enable Iain Rennie to help others care for their loved ones in their own home.

Running the London Marathon is a big challenge for me.  Although I run short distances fairly regularly, the thought of 26 miles and 385 yards is rather daunting!  However, I am concentrating on my training and hope to be able to finish it in around 5 hours.

Please sponsor me and help me to raise as much as possible for  Iain Rennie Hospice at home, it is a fantastic cause!

Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this.

I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.

with love and thanks,

Natalia x
