Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) is dedicated to funding research to find the cure for type 1 (juvenile) diabetes, which strikes children suddenly, makes them insulin-dependent for life, and carries the constant threat of devastating complications.

Nicholas Crowther's fundraising page
Hello!
I will soon be running the Brighton Marathon and for very personal reasons have decided to raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
Type 1 Diabetes is a complicated condition which requires constant medication, typically resulting in 4 injections and several blood tests ... every day ... for life.
The impact of this routine and need for constant supervision has a large impact on the lives of the sufferers and their families.
The aim of JDRF is to conduct research to find improved treatments to enhance the lives of those with Type 1 Diabetes and hopefully one day to find a more permanent solution.
I am grateful for whatever you can spare - it is a great cause - but equally your support and best wishes would be well received. This time I have no specific target to reach.
thanks
Nick
