The Joe Humphries Memorial Trust
The JHMT aims to raise awareness of SADS (Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome) the silent killer and heartbreaker. Thank you for visiting our profile page. The JHMT was set up following the sudden death of Joe Humphries a fit and healthy 14 year old to help transform the lives of other young people. SADS claims the lives of 12 young people every week in the UK. The three aims of the trust are to: - promote awareness of sudden, unexpected death in the young. - to work with Leicestershire Heartsafe to provide CPR training for young people and those that work with them into how to react in life threatening situations. - to facilitate the provision of defibrillators in secondary schools and key areas of the community. We also run The Inspire Awards to inspire young people to fulfil their potential and develop their talents. Thank you for your support.
