Charity
Joshua Orphan and Community Care is a Malawi-based charity for orphan care working in nineteen isolated rural communities around Blantyre. We support community-driven sustainable development projects to assist HIV/AIDS orphans, vulnerable children, and their families in Malawi. With its close ties to the communities and support from donors, Joshua has constructed 17 feeding centres, a secondary school, 4 classroom blocks, drilled bore holes and sponsors over 120 youngsters in education. Its staff live and work in Malawi and take great pride in working closely with local people and organisations. Joshua Orphan and Community Care is supported by a board of trustees based in the UK.

Wayne Russell's fundraising page
Hi, thanks for visiting my page.
As most you know I have only recently taken up running alongside lifting big weights and playing rugby, seeing my abs disappear made me take up running to get fitter.I am thoroughly enjoying the new challenge and would like to combine this with raising money for the Joshua Orphan and Community Care.
I heard about the work they do in Malawi from Nikki who spent 6 weeks out there as a volunteer and continues to raise money on their behalf. Through Virgin Money Giving you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to the charity. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity’s behalf where the donor is eligible for this.
A huge thanks for all your support and any donations.
I hope to see you at the finish line.
Wayne
