Artemis Charitable Foundation
The Artemis Charitable Foundation sponsors the Artemis Great Kindrochit Quadrathlon, an exhilarating test of strength, stamina, and fitness through some of the most spectacular and historic areas of the Scottish Highlands. It involves a 0.8 miles (1.35km) swim across Loch Tay, a 15 mile (24km) run/walk over seven munros, a 7 miles (11km) kayak on Loch Tay, ending with a 34 mile (54km) cycle around the Loch. All proceeds raised by participants go to support the fantastic work undertaken by: Mercy Corps: An international development charity working in over 40 countries worldwide helping people to turn the crises of natural disaster, poverty and conflict into opportunities for progress. Mary's Meals: An international movement to set up school feeding projects in communities where poverty and hunger prevent children from gaining an education. For more information, please go to

No Land Beyond & Can't Swim, Will Swim

Chris Mullan, Donald Nicolson, ROSS LIVINGSTONE, Kevin Gerrie

My page:

Hi, thanks for visiting our page.

We are 4 friend's who have crazily decided to enter 'one of the toughest one day challenges in the UK'. We have no real experience in doing this sort of thing and our aim is to FINISH the race rather than win it. We are particularly concerned about those pesky cutoff times and daylight!

The Team:

Ty - marathlete/triathlete but has never been kayaking and have only climbed one Munro.. has to do 7!

Ross - fireman extraordinaire, one marathon completed, dodgy knees, but everything is going to be a piece of pish...

Donald - Mr Injury, just broke his hand but insists that he will be fine for an event that takes all day. Never done open water swimming...

Kevin - Runs a sport event company that mainly organises cycling events. Rapid on the bike but planning on breast stroking without getting his barnet wet...

We are the dream team, but our dream is about finishing in one piece without drowning, getting lost, going round in circles or running out of daylight. Can we do it? We need all the support we can get!

All money raised is passed directly to the Event's charity which in turn divides it up into the two major charities that they are supporing this year which are:

  • Mercy Corps is an international development and emergency response charity with our European Headquarters in Edinburgh, Scotland. We are a leading global humanitarian organisation saving and improving lives in the world’s toughest places. Working in over 40 countries, we partner with local people to put bold ideas into action, help them overcome adversity, and build stronger communities. Now, and for the future.
  • Mary’s Meals delivers school feeding programmes in some of the world’s poorest communities where hunger and poverty often prevent children from gaining an education. By providing a daily meal in school, Mary’s Meals attracts hungry children to the classroom, where they can gain an education that can be their route out of poverty.

Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor us and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. We really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.
