Charity

Family Action
Family Action is the UK’s leading family charity, working with over 45,000 children and families every year. We tackle some of the most complex and difficult issues facing families today - including domestic abuse, mental health problems, learning disabilities and severe financial hardship. These issues have a huge impact on the wellbeing and development of children; and on the ability of parents and carers to make a positive contribution to their community. We work with whole families to help them find solutions to problems, no matter how difficult, so that they become safer, stronger and more optimistic about their future.

Tuesday 9 March

Legs still sore from a long run on Sunday but starting to feel more confident.  Fin is helping the training by waking us up during the night to check on my fitness levels and attitude.  Very helpful!  6 weeks to go.  26 miles is quite a long way really.

Sunday 21 February 2010

First run today after a two week break - debilitating effect of manflu has kept me out of action.  Only 62 days to go.  Whose idea was this!

22.04.10 I'm expecting BIG things from a Simonside Hill champion......sub 6 hours??? Your charity will need all the help it can get if the Tory's get in!

22.04.10 Norrie One is supposed to get more sensible and able to rationalise things clearly as one matures and ages gracefully. Doing 26 miles does not correlate with this but I am sure your athletic pedigree will shine through to the end.
