Charity

Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity (formerly Yorkhill Children's Charity)
Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity is the new name for Yorkhill Children's Charity. Every year 160,000 babies, children and young people from across the country are treated at Scotland's largest children's hospital, the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow. We fund medical equipment, research, play programmes and family support services at the hospital to ensure that our young patients and their families receive the best possible care. Your generosity helps us care for Scotland's children - thank you.

Welcome to Beth's fundraising page.

About Beth

Beth is a cheeky 3 year old from Ayr. She was born with the rare genetic condition Neurofibromatosis. In November 2015 she was diagnosed with a brain tumour. As a result she has endured multiple surgeries and is currently undergoing a year of chemotherapy at Glasgow's Royal Hospital for Children (the New Yorkhill).

We could use all the usual cliches to describe her as brave or a wee fighter but they don't begin to do justice to how well she has coped with and adapted to such a massive change in her life. The tumour and surgery have left her with a significant left sided weakness which has had a huge impact on her day to day life.

The Charity

Yorkhill charity aims to support each child and their family who come through their doors through some of the most difficult times anyone could experience. They fund a wide range of things in the hospital from play activities to medical equipment and research. We are lending them our support in appreciation of the care they offer Scotland's children.

With the assistance of Morrisons supermarket, Jennie Campbell School of Dance, friends and family we hope to raise a whole heap of cash for such a worthy cause. Your money really does make a difference to all the kids and families.
