Vision Care For Homeless People
Vision Care for Homeless People is a charity set-up to provide eyecare services to homeless and other vulnerable people in an accessible and friendly environment in which they feel safe, welcome and comfortable. Our objectives are to preserve, protect and promote the ocular health of homeless and vulnerable people in the UK who are unwilling or unable to access mainstream services available through the NHS by providing and assisting in the provision of a comprehensive high quality and free at the point of use ocular health service, including screening and the provision of spectacles, that meets the immediate visual needs of our beneficiaries in a safe, accessible, friendly and comfortable environment.

Hi, thanks for visiting my page.

I am delighted to help raise some funds for Vision Care for Homeless People in Leeds - by running in the Leeds Half Marathon on 14th May 2017.

Based at St George's Crypt in Leeds, I am one of a group of volunteers for the charity, who will be providing eye tests and glasses for a group of homeless and vulnerable people - who are unable or unwilling to access mainstream services.

Although run by volunteers, we need some funds to help set up and keep the service running.

The group of people we are helping have complex needs, but we feel this is a positive way that we can improve their quality of life, giving something that most people take for granted - good eyesight.

Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to the charity. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this.

I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.
